Orioles Top A.L. East For Highest Opening Day Ticket Prices

Published Mar 29, 2013 / by Keith Hanson

The American League East sent two teams to the post-season in 2012, but it wasn't the Yankees and Red Sox. The Yankees won the division, but it was the surprise up-start Orioles who took home the American League Wild Card (with the Rangers). Fans in Baltimore are hopeful for a repeat performance, as evidenced by the Orioles having the highest opening day ticket prices in the division -- more impressive when you consider that the Yankees open up with the Red Sox. The Blue Jays are the other story-line in the East. Within a month, the Jays made 12 and 7 player deals that netted them the likes of R.A. Dickey, Mark Buehrle, Jose Reyes and Josh Johnson. There's new blood in the division, which will make it one of the most exciting to watch.
