RYS Expert Reviews

Promenade Level

(2026 Review) - Lower Level Seating: Sections 101–130 on the lower level, wrapping the ice/floor up close.  Best in the Building: Widely regarded as some of the best seats in the arena thanks to their proximity to the action.  Glass Seats Caveat: Rows A and B are Glass Seats — the most common complaint is having to look through or over the glass.  Lightning Shoot Twice: The Lightning shoot twice toward sections 108 and 109.  Concert Alternative: A popular alternative to Floor Seats for concerts.  Who Should Sit Here  The Promenade Level at Benchmark International Arena is for fans who want to be as close to the action as possible without paying for the floor. It suits hockey fans who love being right on top of the play and concertgoers looking for a strong vantage point at a step below floor pricing. Just know the exact experience shifts depending on whether you're there for Lightning hockey or a concert.  Promenade Level Seating Details  The Promenade Level spans sections 101 through 130 on the lower level, ringing the entire seating bowl. Rows are lettered with Row A closest to the floor, and Row U is the last row in most sections. For hockey, the player benches sit in front of sections 101, 102, and 130, with the penalty box on the opposite side.  Views from the Promenade Level  For Lightning games, expect an up-close look at the ice, with the team shooting twice toward sections 108 and 109. Keep in mind that Rows A and B are Glass Seats, where the main drawback is looking through or over the glass.  For concerts, the stage is most often set up in front of sections 123 and 124; sections 118 and 129 are closest to an end-stage configuration and will have the most severe side angle.  Good to Know  If easy concourse access matters to you, aim for seats near Row U — the last row in most sections — so you can slip out to the concourse without climbing past the whole section.

Seating Notes

  • For hockey games, desirable view from near center ice

Center ice - behind the teams — These seats are something special. If you ask me, there’s not a better view in the entire arena. It’s the perfect distance up in the section that allows for views of both goals throughout the game. This section is packed with die hard fans and tons of season ticket owners. If you come frequently, you’ll come to recognize the same faces which adds to the excitement in my opinion. I can’t wait to come back to this same spot for my next game!

Florida Panthers at Tampa Bay Lightning - Apr 25, 2024 — Had to watch on the big screen. Players and equipment in bench area blocked any view of the ice in any direction. Worst seats I ever purchased at this arena. Had a sore neck after the game.

Cool Experience, Sort of Hard to Watch — I loved being able to see the team bench up close, but the coaches and players can obstruct your view of the game at times. Overall, I really enjoyed the experience.

  • Seating and Ticket Q&A

  • What is the Section 101 or 216 like for a concert?

    Both Sections Are Side Seating

    101 vs. 216
While Section 101 is closer to the stage, Section 216 offers exclusive club amenities

Both section 101 and 216 are in a very good location, as they are both close to the stage, but far enough back from the side to provide great views of center stage and the entire performance. Section 101 is located on the lower level of the Tampa Times Forum, so it will feel closer to the stage than in Section 216 which is one level above. Section 101 has 18 lettered rows of seating running from Row A in the front to Row U in the back (entry tunnel located at the top of the section ), while Section 216 has just 6 lettered rows of seating running from Row D to Row J.

Section 216 is on the Club Level

Important to note is that Section 216 is on the Club Level of the Forum, which will give you access to great amenities such as wider padded seats, access to private Club Level restrooms, and upscale food and beverage options. Club level seats also give you a bit more elevation from the floor level to provide better sight lines to all areas of the stage.

    Amenities vs. Proximity

Given the additional comforts of the Club Level and the fewer seats per row which make for easier trips to the concourse, we recommend opting for Section 216 for a more comfortable upscale experience, but if you prefer to be closer to the stage, Section 101 is an excellent option.
