Carter-Finley Stadium has a large variety of seating options for NC State Football games. Fans should carefully consider budget, view, and comfort when seating for tickets.
Much of the stadium gets direct sun during a day game. Sections in front of the press box on the west side see the shade first as it gets later in the day (25-31).
Most seats are bleacher-style without any backing.
Lower-level and 200-level sections entry tunnels from the concourse are located at the back of the section. Those seated in the upper level sidelines will enter from the front.

All seating in the 100 Level Endzone sections are designated as student areas at Carter Finley Stadium. Fans in these areas should be prepared to be immersed in standing, rowdy fans, which can make for an exciting atmosphere if you don't mind standing up to see the action on the field.
Sections in the west endzone are larger than those in the east, featuring 26 lettered rows of seating (single letters located at the front), but have very good head on views of the main videoboard above the east endzone. Fans in the east endzone will have an easier time getting to and from the seats with just 14 lettered rows, but will not have a view of the main videoboard located above and behind the seats.
200 Level Endzone Seating
Still located on the lowest seating tier, the 200 Level Endzone sections sit just behind the 100 level endzone seats, offering a good viewing height from behind the goal line. These sections are the best place to find chairback seating without the price tag of a seat in the Dail Club or Vaughn Towers.
In the west endzone, sections feature 12 just lettered rows of seating and will have head on views of the large videoboard above the east endzone. In the east endzone, 200 level sections are larger with 22 lettered rows of seats, and will have difficulty seeing the larger videoboard located behind.
Lower Level Sideline Seating
Spanning between the endzones on the lowest seating tier at Carter Finley Stadium, the lower level sideline sections are the best place to find a close view near midfield. Sections 7 and 8, as well as the west half of Section 6 are reserved for Student seating, but the remaining sections are available for purchase by the general public.
Sections in this location have as many 46 lettered rows of seating, which start with the single lettered rows in the front of the section, and the double lettered rows located behind.
Upper Level Endzone Seating
The furthest of the seating options in the endzones, the Upper Level Endzone seats are found at both the east and west ends of the stadium, and are located just above the 200 level seats. Better views can be found elsewhere, but these seats do offer a smaller seating area for easier access in and out of the seats.
When sitting at the east endzone (Sections 319-326), fans will be located just beneath the large videoboard and will have to rely on the small scoreboards located in the northwest and southwest corners. These sections feature 16 lettered rows of seating with the entry aisle located at the front of the section.
There are just two upper level endzone sections at the west endzone (310 and 315), which feature a small seating environment with just 10 rows of seating. These seats have excellent viewing angles to the large videoboard above the opposite endzone.
Upper Level Sideline Seating
Upper level sideline seating is home to some of the furthest views of the field at Carter Finley Stadium, but can still have a decent view thanks to the smaller size of the lower level sections below.
The seats span between the endzones, with 34 lettered rows of seats in most sections. Entry tunnels are located at the very front of the sections, leaving a long walk for those with seats in the double lettered seating rows (single letter rows located at the front of the section).
The Upper Level Sideline will be the best place for the away team fans to find tickets as most areas of Sections 9, 15, 25, and 31 are designated as visiting team seating.
