Sections 112-120 and 133-136 behind the endzones are designated student sections at Bobby Dodd Stadium.
Less than 10% of seats at Bobby Dodd Stadium offer some type of shade or cover. Below is a sample of seats that are at least partially covered or shaded at different times of the day. To search for tickets or to find out if your seats are protected from the sun or rain, follow the link for the seat finder.
Corner seating on the lower level will have excellent views of scoring plays at the near endzone, while the far endzone views will not be nearly as desirable. A more affordable seating option in the lower level, these seats are also home to student in seating in the northeast and northwest corners (Sections 112-113 and 119-120).
Being near the students is an energetic place to watch the game, but it will also be much louder and views may be more difficult as the students prefer to stand for most of the game.
Bobby Dodd Stadium is unique in that both seating behind both endzones is designated for students. Most stadiums have one area where the students sit, but Georgia Tech gives its students two areas. The Lower Level Endzone seating location is likely to be the loudest area in the stadium, so fans should be aware of these potential noise when choosing to sit anywhere near these sections.
Lower level sideline sections keep fans involved in all the action with lower level views and positioning between the endzones. A great ticket for any football fan, ticket holders will feel close to the field and enjoy the traditional viewing angle.
Sitting along the west sideline will keep you closer to the Georgia Tech team bench, and will also provide more shade as the afternoon approaches. West sideline seating sections are much larger though, with up to 48 numbered rows of seats. On the east sideline, sections are located on either side of the Club seating area (located at midfield), and a great option for visiting fans as it will keep you close to the visitors sideline.
Located only in the north endzone, these upper level seats will be one of the best places to search for a cheap ticket at Bobby Dodd Stadium. The views are less desirable from beyond the uprights, and fans will be further from the action than most other seating areas, both of which combine to help keep prices in the lower tier.
While the views of the far (south) endzone will be difficult, fans will have the benefit of a head on view to the videoboard located at the opposite end of the field.
For fans that want a good view of the game but don't have the budget for a lower level ticket, great options can be found on the upper sideline. Sections 204 and 205 have excellent views on the west sideline, and will also have the sun at the back sooner thanks to the east facing seats.
On the east sideline, fans will be a bit closer to the field as the lower level sections below are smaller, and you can find great views in Sections 224-226. The sections are slightly larger on the east sideline with 30 numbered rows of seating compared to 26 on west sideline, and fans will also have the sun the longest when opting for seats on the east side.
