About the Seats
Ticket prices for the Sox have been pretty cheap lately. So sitting on the lower level hasn't been much of a problem recently. But this game was against the Cubs, so I went with less expensive upper level seats. And to tell you the truth, I really, really liked them!
The first few rows of the section can be obstructed by the railing, so I knew to stay away. Row 9 is a little higher than I wanted to go, but it was the best available. The walk up the stairs isn't difficult, but any higher and the steep stairs would have bothered me. The view is just fantastic. The whole field and scoreboard are right in front of you. Plus, being a little bit on the first base side means two things: head-on views of the left side of the infield (where most of the action happens), and perfect views of the fireworks (unfortunately there weren't any home runs this nite).
We got lucky that no one was in seat 1-4. I wouldn't take that chance again, though. I'd shoot for aisle seats to make getting in and out easy.
Overall, these seats are perfect for families going to a fireworks game or the engaged fan who can't afford lower level seats. I will definitely sit here again if the lower level is out of my price range! ...More
