Thompson-Boling Arena is a two-tier stadium with three levels of seating. The venue hosts a variety of events with the most common being Tennessee Vols Basketball.
Most of the stadium is general seating. One side (above sections 101-109) contains multiple levels of premium options. All seats are standard chairbacks.
For Basketball Games
Since the arena is large, sitting as close to the court as possible is a must for a good experience. The atmosphere can get lost the higher you go.
If lower-level tickets are out of budget, the 200-level is a great option with smaller sections and elevated sight lines.
We recommend:
Concert Seating
For concerts, the stage is usually located in front of sections 128-130. Any seats in the 100-level provide great views of the performance. Sections 219-221 are great options as well.
If you find 300-level tickets are more in your budget, choose seats along the sides over those on the opposite side of the stage. Tickets on the side bring you closer to the stage at Thompson-Boling Arena and provide a better overall experience.

Much of the student seating can be found in the corner in sections 323-327a.
Students will also be on the lower level in portions of sections 113-114 and 128-129.
Every section in the Thompson-Boling Arena has chairback seating with the exception of sections 128-130.
