    Perfect Placement Between Beams

    Jun 2016

    Grandstand 26, Row 15, Seat 15

My seat was three rows from the top of the grandstand level, so I went in expecting to have a beam directly in my line of sight and ruining my day at the ballpark. But much to my surprise and delight, my seats was almost perfectly positioned where the beam to my left was just beyond the infield dirt at third base, and the beam to my right was just behind the home plate umpire! I could see the entire infield without obstruction, so I chalked this one up to a very lucky success. No views of the center field videoboard, and plays in the left field corner were a mystery, but there are TV monitors mounted to the ceiling to provide some relief. The seats aren't the most comfortable as they are very old, which is great for adding character to the experience of being at Fenway, but not so great for sitting for 9 innings straight. Had I been just a few seats further to my right, the view would have been far more difficult with the beam to my right cutting off parts of the infield. So if you can, stick to seats 13 through 22 for the best views from Row 15.

No obstruction concerns in the first row

    Grandstand 26, Row 1

Seats in Grandstand 26 Row 1 have nothing to worry about in regard to support beams blocking the view of the infield.

Limited views at the right side

    Grandstand 26, Row 2-18

If you can get a seat in the first row of Grandstand 26, opt for seats at the left side of the section. Fans near the right aisle will have a very limited view of the pitchers mound due to the support pillar.

    • "Obstructed view"

Seats 123 are obstructed view of either home plate 1st base or both

    • "Great straight view"

      (Grandstand 15) - -

No obstructions of infield. Pole to the right blocked some of the scoreboard, but no problem. Perfect for looking straight and not having to sit sideways. Under the canopy. Photos I uploaded are not zoomed to show accurate seating and angles.

    • "Partial obstruction"

      (Grandstand 23) - -

Left field/baseline obstructed by lally column.
