"Sit lower if you can"

Seat Review From Section 402, Row 27, Seat 27
Aug 2013

Comments

It feels like you're sitting in the heavens so far up, but the seats are far from heavenly. Row 27 is wayyy up there! If you sit in these seats, don't plan on moving for the whole game. If you go down to get food or go to the bathroom, you're risking your life up and down the stairs. It's not that bad, but pretty close. In the winter months, wear a big coat and wedge yourself in.

Seat 27 is on the right aisle, closer to the 25 yardline. The row spans all the way from the 25 to the 35, so your view is dependent on which side of the row you're on. Seeing everything is not a problem, it just seems really far away.

There is a food stand right at the base of the section. So your best bet is to grab food before the game and only have to make on trip up. You won't want to go back down anyways -- the food options are weak at best.

Don't even think about bringing kids or elders up this far. They won't forgive you.

Avoid if... you want to watch the game, you're bringing the family, you consider yourself "Big" and "Tall"

  • "Fits the definition of a nosebleed seat"

    (Section 451) - -

The upper deck at Fedex Field was very high up, and while it allowed for unobstructed views to all areas of the field, it wasn't much fun being so very far away from the action. The 2 jumbotrons were not in the easiest of positions for viewing, and the seats faced straight forward down the 15 yard ...

  • "Family Friendly Cheap Seats"

    (Section 430) - -

Row 15 was high up in section 430 but the views were pretty decent for a cheap Redskins ticket. A hand railing sneaks into the view just above the near sideline, but the rest of the field is very easily visible and you look down nicely at the visiting team sideline. There were a lot of families in...

  • "Not for the faint of heart"

    (Section 453) - -

Sitting in the 22nd row of the top level at FedEx Field felt very high up and distant from the game even with the good location near midfield. The scoreboards seemed small and were not easy to view either. Just getting up to the top level of the stadium is a scary journey as you ride an escalator ...
