Leaning forward most of the game

    Sep 2014

Reserve 18, Row AA, Seat 4

I was definitely locked in a battle with the guard railing located just in front of my seat which was located in the very first row of the section. When sitting comfortably back in my seat, the railing started to cut off my view of the first base line and continued its reign of obstruction down to the right field corner. I could alleviate the issue by leaning far forward, but then I was basically sacrificing comfort for a better view. It would have been nice to have both comfort and a view, but that is probably tough to find in these front row seats. My seat photos show the difference between leaning forward and sitting back, where every time you see the railing creep further into the field of play, that was me sitting back in the seat. Probably would have been safe in the second row, but next time I round I'll look even a few rows higher just to be sure.

    • Reserve Level

      -

The Blue Shield Reserve Level is the largest seating tier in Dodger Stadium. It is so large there are two levels within it.  Views can vary greatly due to the size of the level which spans from foul pole to foul pole so it is important to compare tickets when looking to make a purchase. Lower Reserve  Lower reserve sections have the "LR" or "IR" after the section number. These sections are lower in elevation. Row are single lettered from A-V with A being at the bottom of the section. The entire level shares a concourse, so fans will enter the section from the back nearest Row V and head down toward their seats. Sometimes "VIP" or "MVP" designations are given based on the row.  VIP: Rows A-H MVP: Rows J-V Sections 1-11 are the best seats in the location being behind home plate. They also will not have upper reserve sections above them making them slightly less crowded. Value Reserve  Value Reserve sections are in the upper portion of the Reserve Level and have the letter "R" after the section number. Rows will be double lettered with Row AA being at the front nearest the concourse tunnels. The benefit of these over the lower sections is that they are smaller and some offer shaded options. Fans who prefer to be in the shade might want to consider the last few rows of Infield Reserved sections 1 through 11 as they will be protected by the overhanging Upper Deck sections above.

    • "Great view, great value."

      (Lower Reserve 23) - -

Saved $32 by not buying this seat directly from Dodgers.com, and I feel like I stole a ticket (don't worry, I didn't). Excellent view, away from the setting sun. The only problem is those pesky steep steps you have to take to get to this second-to-rail row.

    • "Avoid the aisle seats here"

      (Infield Reserve 5) - -

At Row B I was just the second row from the front of the section, and was seated on the left aisle. Aisle seats are usually my preference as it gives me quick and easy access going to and from, but these aisle seats put you in a difficult place to watch the game due to the guard railing at the bott...
