Lawn seats at the Filene Center are located on a sloped meadow behind the orchestra. Fans with tickets here will have general admission access and can sit anywhere in the section.

Views can vary due to the loge and box level hanging over the orchestra seats. All areas are open-air and exposed to weather elements.

Lawn Views

Views from the lawn range from very good to very bad. Because it is a general admission seating area, ticketholders are encouraged to arrive early in order to secure a spot with a favorable view.

We suggest sitting low enough on the lawn so that the balcony does not block your view. It is also a good idea to avoid sitting behind one of the many pillars that support the balcony.

While the lawn won't provide phenomenal views from up close, it's the perfect spot to spend a long evening. Pack a cooler or picnic basket, grab your blanket and try to arrive 90 minutes before the show when the gates to the lawn open.

Rules on the Lawn

Ticketholders are welcome to bring their own food and drink (including alcohol) to enjoy on the lawn before or during the show.

Lawn chairs, blankets and coolers are allowed on the lawn, though lawn chairs are only allowed in a dedicated area at the back of the lawn. Seat cushions and low-rising chairbacks are allowed anywhere and are available for rent from the gift shop.
