(2026 Review) - Closest to the Stage: Field seats put you on the floor, with front rows just feet from the performers.  Rodeo Availability: Most Houston Rodeo concerts do not offer field seating with the lone exception sometimes being the final headlining show.  Reserved vs. GA: For non-rodeo concerts, field tickets are either reserved (lettered sections with an actual seat) or general admission (standing only, first-come, first-serve).  Stage Setup: Rodeo stages sit in the center of the field; Non-rodeo concert stages go up in the North endzone.  Who Should Sit Here  Field seats at NRG Stadium are for fans who want to be as close to the action as possible and don't mind the trade-offs that come with floor tickets. If the energy of being near the stage matters more than a fixed vantage point, this is where you want to be.  Field Seats Location & Details  Field seating is directly on the stadium floor. For non-rodeo concerts, the stage is placed in the North endzone and sections fan out in front of it. For the rare rodeo field show, the stage sits in the center of the field and when there are seats, they are arranged around it. Reserved sections are typically labeled with a letter and include an assigned seat, while general admission sections give you access to a designated area of the field without seats.  Views from the Field Seats  The view from the field is all about proximity. The front rows are mere feet from the performers, and the energy on the floor is the best in the building. Keep in mind that sightlines vary depending on how close you are and whether you're seated or standing, and general admission spots are claimed first-come, first-serve.  Good to Know  Most Houston Rodeo concerts don't offer field or floor seating, because the rodeo itself takes place on the field. The exception is usually the last show of the rodeo, a headlining act performed around a center-field stage. If field access is a priority during rodeo season, target that closing performance.
