Family Sections
The Family Fun Zone is located in Section 133 (alcohol is prohibited)
When purchasing tickets for a West Virginia football game, there are a few different options that will impact the type of experience you have.
Lower Level vs. Upper Level
With just two decks of seating, one of the first choices you'll have to make is whether you sit in the lower or upper level. Most lower level sections have about 45 rows, while most upper deck sections have 25 rows.
We think the best seats are at the top of the lower level (rows 35-45) and at the front of the upper level (rows 1-10). These rows have excellent sightlines and are close to the section entrance.
Side of the Field
The Mountaineers sideline is on the west side of the stadium (in front of sections 124-127). Even visiting fans may want to consider this side when the weather is hot - this side is shaded first during afternoon games.
Premium Seating
Mountainer Field also has a few upscale seating areas. The Touchdown Terrace and Box Seats are best for guests looking for exclusive amenities on gameday.

West Virginia Sideline - The West Virginia sideline is in front of Section 124, Section 125, Section 126 and Section 127
Visitor Sideline - The visiting team sideline is in front of Section 104, Section 105, Section 106 and Section 107
Students from West Virginia have sections 109-110, 121, and 205-211 reserved for them.
Less than 10% of seats at Mountaineer Field offer some type of shade or cover. Below is a sample of seats that are at least partially covered or shaded at different times of the day. 100 Level Sideline seats feature some of the best views in Mountaineer Stadium thanks to being on the lower seating tier, and running between the endzones. These seats are all bench-style bleacher seats with no chairback, and are some of the largest sections in the stadium with as many as 53 numbered rows of seats.
Sections 125 and 126 are located just behind the West Virginia team bench, while Sections 105 and 106 are behind the visiting team bench. While most of the student seating is located on the 200 level, Sections 109, 110, and 121 are the student designated areas on the lower level.
Sitting behind the endzone provides a less desirable view that those found on the sideline, but still offers lower level proximity to the field. With the main videoboard located just above the seats, viewing highlights and replays will require quite a head turn.
The south endzone is one of the best places for opposing team fans, as Sections 98, 99, and 100 are all designated for visiting team seating (the visiting team band will also sit at the front of Section 100). Section 133 is designated as a Family Fun Zone, where no alochol or profanity is allowed.
As the only seating higher than the lower level, the 200 Level Sideline sections are the furthest viewing point within the inner seating bowl. Sections feature as many as 36 numbered rows of bench style bleacher seating, with the entry tunnels located at the very front of the section (leaving a long walk for fans in the uppermost rows).
Most of the east sideline is occupied by student seating (Sections 205-211). The west sideline is the best place for the casual neutral fan with no seating designations at all.
