Is the Lawn at Hollywood Casino Amp (Chicago) Covered?

With a capacity of nearly 30,000 guests, the Hollywood Casino Amphitheatre in south-suburban Chicago is one of the largest outdoor music venues in the country. The venue features two areas of Pavilion seating plus a general admission lawn area.

Most shows at the amphitheatre take place in July and August when temperatures frequently soar above 90 degrees and when a summer rain shower can appear in an instant. And with a a rain or shine policy (i.e.: shows continue regardless of the weather), it's important to purchase tickets that are protected from the elements.

Fans who purchase tickets in Pavilion sections 101-105 and 201-208 will be fully protected from the weather by the roof. Meanwhile, the entire lawn is un-covered and exposed to the heat and rain. Lawn tickets are a great way to save money*, but we recommend waiting to buy them until you are absolutely certain about the weather. Otherwise, invest in seats in one of the Pavilion sections where you're sure to stay cool and dry.

*For 2017's most popular show at the venue (Depeche Mode), the cheapest lawn tickets can be purchased for nearly $100 less than the cheapest Pavilion ticket!
