Where are good seats, with all or partial shade, for a day game at Comerica Park?

Shade at Comerica Park is found mostly on the first-base side of the field as well as in the very back few rows of the lower level. The first base side will have the best shade and are most likely to remain cool, but the lack of a substantial overhang can still keep these seats in the sun for part of the game.

Some of the best seating options which feature good shade are the Tiger Den Sections 120-124. These sections are located at the top of the 100 level near the first base dugout, have very good shade especially in the last rows where the overhang provides additional coverage above, and are also Club seats with impressive amenities. Tigers Den ticket holders will be treated to cushioned seats, a small table for food and beverage, in-seat wait service, access to the upscale Tiger Den Club Lounge, as well as a private entrance to the ballpark.

Tiger Den sections, like 123, offer upscale amenities and are most likely to keep you cool

Other good options for shade include the lettered seating rows in Sections 116-118. These seats are located at the very top of the section and will have additional protection from the sun as they are closer to the overhang, and less exposed than the lower rows which are further from the taller outside walls which cast the shadow on the first base side.

Terrace Seats Shade
Terrace seats on the first base side stay cool - even during day games

And we also recommend avoiding the left field bleachers at all costs. These seats will see the most sun of any location in the ballpark, making them our least favorite option for finding shade at Comerica Park.
