Published June 25, 2015

After acting in almost 40 films and performing standup comedy for over a decade, Kevin Hart has embarked on his WHAT NOW Tour, with a whopping total of 80 shows across North America. The tour is already the highest grossing comedy show in history and several shows were added to extend the tour into September. Find out where the best seats are for each show, which are performed in several types of venues.

Views depend on venues

Most of the shows on the tour will be held in arenas, but a few will be at amphitheatres or even football stadiums. Every show, regardless of the venue type, will have a seating chart with an end stage setup and reserved floor seating.

With this type of setup, the best seats in the venue will be those near the front of floor sections, directly in front of the stage. For shows held in arenas, seats are also great in side sections near the stage, where views are usually unobstructed due to the raised level of the seating. Sections 128 and 146 at the Pepsi Center in Denver, where Hart performs on Sept. 7, have this viewing advantage.

For shows held in amphitheatres, fans will want to note that the seating chart is often fan-shaped, like the one for the Aug. 28 show at the Nikon at Jones Beach Theater in Wantagh, N.Y. Amphitheatres are also open-air with many seats in direct sunlight, which may be uncomfortable in the summer months. The best seats can be found in sections directly in front of the stage, which are often under an overhang to keep the area shaded.

Hart breaks precedent in his hometown

Several shows on the WHAT NOW tour will be at sports stadiums, like the Aug. 30 show at Philadelphia's Lincoln Financial Field. Originally scheduled as the last stop before adding dates in September, Hart had planned to wrap up the tour in his hometown with the first comedy show to ever be held in a major football stadium.

With a capacity of almost 70,000, the field will accommodate a great number of fans, but may have some undesirable views as a result. Because the venue is so large, fans may have much farther views of the stage from sections located near the back of the venue.

The best seats in this stadium venue are found in floor sections 1-6, located on the field level, directly in front of the stage. There is a total of 16 floor sections, so views will likely be obstructed in sections 13-16, which are located near the back of the field, where ticket holders will have to look over many rows of seating to see the stage.

Double-check your choice

Fans searching for tickets will want to confirm the time and date of the event they choose. Hart is performing on back-to-back dates in many cities, and is even playing multiple shows in a single night in select cities. The second shows begin at 10:30 PM in most cities, which is typically two and a half hours after the first at 8 PM.

The WHAT NOW Tour kicked off in early April and comes to a close on Sept. 12 with a show at the KeyArena in Seattle. With many stops remaining on the tour, fans still have a chance to laugh with Kevin Hart.
