Best Seats For a Concert at Target Center
The most common seating layout at Target Center for concerts is an end-stage setup with the stage located near sections Section 118, Section 120 and Section 121. For many concerts there are also slight variations to the layout, which may include General Admission seats, fan pits and B-stages.
On the Floor: Sections Floor 1, Floor 2, Floor 3 and Floor 4 are Floor Seats, which offer some of the closest views of the performers. For many concerts, floor sections are added or removed. These performer-specific adjustments may alter the floor layout and the views from each floor section.
To the Side of the Stage: For close views of the stage with a little bit of elevation, consider seats to the side of the stage in Section 112, Section 113 and Section 129. The view is not head-on like on the floor, but many of the seats are closer to the stage, provide better elevation and are actual stadium seats.
Head-on to the Stage: Seats directly across from the stage, like those in Section 101, Section 104, Section 138 and Section 201 provide the most comfortable looks of the performance.
Even upper level sections offer unobstructed sitelines. Just keep in mind that you won't be able to see as much detail from these seats as you would if you sat closer to the stage.
Consider the Following When Buying Concert Tickets
Seats behind the stage are occassionally sold: Unless your main objective is to just get in the building, you'll want to completely avoid anything behind the stage - like those in/near or above sections Section 118, Section 120, Section 121 and Section 122. It's unlikely the performer will turn around to salute you - and you're more likely to be completely blocked out from seeing the show.
If you're on the shorter side (or bringing kids), consider floor seats only in the first few rows: The most common complaint amongst floor ticketholders is that they can't see the stage because of taller people in front of them. As an alternative, consider side sections near the stage that will still have you close and high enough to see.
Lower level side sections are not created equal: While the side sections closest to the stage are top-notch, side sections farther from the stage may leave you with a cramp in your neck. Sections 109 and 133 are not well-angled towards the stage - leaving you to turn your head for an ideal view. Instead, consider head-on sections in the lower level or even close side seats in the upper level like 213 and 229.

The cheapest way to sit in the 100 level is to choose a seat behind the basket or in the corner of the arena. While these seats may not be your first choice, they accommodate a wider range of budgets and there are some pretty good seats if you know where to look.
First, sections 101 and 121 should be avoided almost entirely. These sections are directly behind the basket which makes it difficult to see what's going on at the near hoop and especially on the other end. The only redeeming quality of these sections is that the first row (row D) is just above the tunnels where the players enter the court.
With the exception of the Loge Boxes, the best seats in this seating zone are located at the front of sections 106, 116, 126 and 136. The first six or seven rows in these sections have a great angle towards the court and are located just a few steps from the hardwood. We typically don't recommend corner seating in low rows for NBA games, but these seats are an exception.
If the price-tag on the previously recommended seats is too great, aim instead for rows 20-30 of sections 104, 118, 124 and 138. While the view from these seats is slightly bothered by the basket, it's not as bad as is in 101 and 121. Instead, you'll have a decent angle towards and court and you'll be near the tunnel that leads to the concourse and all of its amenities (restrooms and concessions).
Lower Level Side (Basketball) Seating
Sections 109-113 and 129-133 are located along the sidelines on the lower level of the Target Center. Given their proximity to the court and sightlines to the action, these are widely considered some of the best seats for a Twolves game.
All seats in these sections are within 30 rows of the court and most rows contain just 14 seats in each row. For the quickest trips to and from the concourse, choose seats near row 23 where the entrance to each section is located.
If you prefer to be closer to the court and the players, you'll find great options in sections 129-130 and 132-133. These sections are located behind the visitor and Timberwolves bench, respectively. If you prefer to not sit behind the players, you can still get great head-on views of the bench activity by sitting on the opposite side of the court.
Upper Level Baseline (Basketball) Seating
When seated behind the basket on the upper level, the first you'll notice is how close you are to the court. Because the Target Center does not house a hockey team, the baseline sections are not pushed egregiously far away from the court. In turn, these sections offer better views than expected.
For the best overall sightlines, choose a low row in a section that is not directly behind the basket (avoid 201 and 221). The view from the lower rows (A-H) will be comparable to those from the lower level and being off-set from the basket will give you less obstructed sightlines to the court.
When deciding between corner and baseline sections in the upper level, always choose corner sections if everything else is equal. Otherwise, always choose the seats in the lowest row (A is at the front).
Upper Level Center (Basketball) Seating
While many fans prefer to focus solely on the lower level, some of the best seats at the Target Center are located in the first few rows of the 200 level. In particular, you'll find that the first row in sections 209-213 and 229-233 are just about 10 feet above the last row in the lower level. With a ticket price that is usually far less than those in the lower level, these seats offer exceptional value.
When choosing seats, carefully consider the row you will be sitting in. Because there is an enormous difference between sitting in the first row and the last row, it's best to sacrifice a center court view if you can sit in a lower row in an adjacent section. For example, sitting in row 3 in section 230 is preferred to row 20 in section 231.
Besides for better views of the court, another reason to favor lower rows is that you'll have to contend with fewer stairs. Upper level sections contain as many as 22 rows with the section entrance at row 3. If you're in the aforementioned row 20, you'll have to walk up and down 17 rows of stairs each time you need a snack or drink.
Upper Level Corner (Basketball) Seating
Corner sections in the upper level are home to some of the cheapest tickets for a Twolves game. These tickets are often sold for less than half the price of the cheapest lower level tickets and are a great way to see a game on a budget.
Fans will find that there is a significant difference between the lower rows and the upper rows. Ideally, you'll want to sit in rows A-H where the views of the court are surprisingly good. From those rows, you'll also have quick access to the upper level concourse and its amenities.
Out favorite seats in this seating zone are the small sections that are wedged in (207, 215, 227, 235) and the extreme corner sections (205, 217, 225, 237). These sections have the fewest number of seats per row which makes it easy to get in and out and increases the likelihood you'll be on the aisle. The extreme corner sections have a better angle towards the court despite being slightly behind the basket and are a good option for saving even more money.
How much legroom in the front row of the upper level at Target Center?
The exact dimensions of the wall in front and legroom are unavailable. However, the wall is about three feet tall and has a railing above it. For more adults, the wall and railing are not difficult to see over, but smaller children will struggle. Additionally, the amount of leg room in the first row is slightly more than the amount in the other rows (unfortunately exact measurements are not available to us).
Where are cheap handicap-accessible seats at a Twolves game?
The cheapest tickets for a Timberwolves game are generally found on the 200 level. Within these sections, all even-numbered sections are wheelchair-accessible in Row C. At the entrance tunnel of each of these sections are folding chairs and space for wheelchairs.
What is the first row behind wheelchair seating in the upper level at the Target Center?
All even-numbered sections in the 200 level of the Target Center feature two rows of seating labeled A and B, followed by an accessible Row C. Behind the accessible seating is the tunnel leading to the concourse. The first above the tunnel in each of these sections is labeled Row J.
Some fans prefer Row J in these sections as there is no one directly in front of you. For others, the railing is distracting and the legroom can be somewhat limiting.
Where are the best upper level seats for concerts at Target Center?
When the Target Center is arranged in the end stage setup, the stage will stretch across the floor between sections 113 and 129. The best upper level seats for viewing these shows will be found in Sections 212 and 230, as they are close to the front of the stage while still being able to see the front of the performers.
Other sections on the Upper Level will be closer to the stage (Sections 213 and 229), however many of these seats will only have a side view of the performers due to their location at or beyond the front edge of the end stage.
We recommend staying in the first 5 rows of Sections 212 and 230 (Rows A-E) as these will keep you close to both the front of the section as well as the entry tunnel at Row C. Other good upper level seating is also available in Rows A-E in Sections 211 and 231.
How many rows in each section at Target Center?
Each section has a varying amount of rows and seats. Find a section to see row and/or seat numbers.
Is seat number 1 on the left or right side of sections?
As you look towards the court from your seats, lower number seats are on your right.
