Features & Amenities

The lower bowl of American Airlines Center is called the Plaza Level. This is usually the first place fans look for tickets when attending a Mavs or Stars game.

Your experience in the Plaza Level will depend on the type of event you're going to. For basketball games, we strongly recommend purchasing tickets in one of the eight sections that run along the sideline. It will cost extra to sit here, but you'll have better sitelines than if you sit behind the basket.

There are a number of great options in the Plaza Level for hockey games. Corner sections give you a great angle towards center ice, while seats along the side allow you to see just how fast the game is.

If you're a Stars fan - and you're not sitting near center ice - consider tickets near sections 108-117. The Stars shoot toward this net in the first and third periods. Or if money is no issue, consider the ultimate ticket: Glass Seats in the first row.

Concert Tickets on the Plaza Level

The Plaza Level is a popular alternative to Floor Seats for concerts. Guests will still find close views and will have an easier time seeing over guests in front of them.

The layout of the stage varies, but it is most often placed in front of sections 101 and 124. When this is the case, sections 105 and 120 are the best Plaza Level seats.

Looking down towards 100 level sections in the east corner. Among these, section 119 has the best views, section 120 is behind the visitor bench and section 121 was meant for hockey and not basketball.

Seating & Ticket Questions

What section is near the Mavericks tunnel at American Airlines Center? I'd like a good seat to see the game but also one with the possibility of getting a good view of the players.

The Mavericks enter and leave the court through a tunnel that is located above section 103 and between sections 102 and 104. For a good chance of seeing the players enter and exit the court near this this tunnel, you will want to try to find seats in the closest rows to the court in these sections (which have lettered rows, so the closest to the court will be row A).... 

Where is best place for children to sit at an American Airlines Center concert?

Floor seats are usually a great option, however they do not have stadium style seating where higher numbered rows have seats that sit higher than the rows in front of them. Therefore, it may be difficult for smaller children to see over taller people in front of them. We would recommend Plaza level sections (which do feature stadium style seating). The best plaza level sections based on the stage setup, will be sections 106 and 119 as they are located close to the stage and still offer a good viewing angle to the front.... 

Where is the first row behind the basket in sections 112 and 113?

Courtside sections 1, 12, 13 and 24 occupy the first three rows of seating behind each basket. So although row AA is the first row in sections 112 and 113, it is actually four rows from the court.
